We decided to go to the church we had been to in December. There was a farewell party for the interim
pastor. We were sorry to hear he had not been hired to take the position. Back at the boat later in the day we got our our income tax info and sorted through that. Transitioning back to the boat did not take nearly as long as it did when we left home. Dick barbecued some chicken and we shared it with the guy beside us who was fixing the wiring on his boat. We have 17 days to make it to Myrtle Beach to meet up with Peter, Ellie, Josh Karin and ELYSSA. Our tentative plan is to travel one day and have a day layover. This is ideal cruising conditions. We will see how long it lasts. :)
Return to St. Augustine
Monday March 23, 2009
We got up and checked in with the Marina staff. Said good-bye to the people we had meet while we stayed at Palm Coast. The weather was going to have a 30 percent chance of rain.
This has been an interesting idiosyncrasy of the trip that we return to the places we have been. How often does that happen on a holiday. I was tempted to tie the Captain's hands behind his back and put blind folds on just to give him a challenge but then I thought maybe a rainy day is enough. We made it to St. Augustine by 1:30 pm. We laid down to read and Dick had a nap to get warm and then we headed into town to have supper. When we got to the dinghy dock we saw Unleaded's dinghy and left Jock a note. Jock we had meet in Port Dover when we left home and then followed up with him at Whittaker Creek. Jock dropped in for a tea on his way back to the boat. It was great to see him again and catch up with his stories. He has been here since the 7th of December and jokes that he had become a lifer. There is a huge community of people here he has meet and connected to so is not really interested in moving on yet.

Funny how Elyssa's name is in all capitals!:) I'm sure you'll be very happy to see her again!
Parting is such sweet sorrow!!!An old saying but true. You will always have memories of going and coming. Really cold wind here this morning and Lake Huron still has ice so spring is a bit backward still. Picked up limbs this morning--lots of them this year.
Can't wait to see you guys in Myrtle. May the winds be favourable! Safe travels..
Peter and Ellie
