We were up early and made preparations to head through the Whale. Since we were at Treasurer Cay we could seek through the Sea of Abaco and enter at the end of the passage. The ocean was breaking out on the end of the Bank but the rollers were not very high. The real beauty is how the breakers crash on the ends of the islands. We arrived at Green Turtle about two hours after high tide. A boater we had meet while in Palm Coast was to be anchored near Green Turtle and we wanted to check in with him and say hi. We pulled up alongside of his Schooner Conch Pearl and he advised us he was planning to move from this anchorage due to the weather that was coming and he advised us to head in to White Sound and stay at the Marina. We radioed Westley and he said we would not be able to get a dock tomorrow night when the weather was bad and if we wanted a dock for sunday we would need to come in now. We lifted anchor and headed in and went aground on the port side of the buoys at the harbour mouth. Usually you can manoeuver the boat and get yourself off but this time we were hard agound no bubging it. Westley radioed out to us and offered to come out in the Marina launch and tow us off. Art on Conch Pearl, has been coming here for years and has never see a marina offer that kind of service. So Hats off to Great Turtle Club Marina. When we got to the dock a host of well wishers awaited us, (Agapi, Willem, and Radical Jack.) Willem offered their splitter to save us $5.00. We had a nice dinner at the Green Turtle dining room and celebrated one more occassion with our coboaters.

We had a beautiful warm day in the daytime hours. We walked along the beach and planned to video chat with the kids. The wind picked up as the day went on and we stayed warm and dry in our boat. So glad not to be anchored somewhere in this weather.

And the beat goes on.Always something new around the corner sort of getting a tractor pull out of a snowbank (that has been a common occurance around these parts this year.) Glad you have company back to the states . Sail safe-have fun- our prayers go with you.

Good Morning; Very foggy this a.m. Today we turned our clocks ahead one hour. Feels like jet like to me. I walked early this a.m...lots of icebanks and miles of ice. We heard the ice cracking in the lake. Saw a robin yesterday so Spring is nearly here. ...hopefully. Made a crib quilt this week...one patch and no seams to match...just my style. I saw the pattern at Goderich Quilt Store and the lady even measured the block for me. Nice lady eh? Must go and get some work done. Safe sailing.
