Welcome to Radical Jack

Sunday December 14, 2008
Dick and I got up and headed out to Trinity Presbyterian Church for the 10:55 service. We had done a good job of estimating an hour walk to get there. We made it in under the wire, threw the choir that congregate at the backdoor to make a splendid entrance down the aisles. When we got back to the boat we sat out in the cockpit for lunch and Dick switched on the VHF Radio. We were excited to hear Radical Jack was hailing the Marina operator. Heather and Peter had decided to stay in at Palm Coast for a couple of weeks and join us for Christmas. I was thrilled to hear this.

We signed out the bikes and headed out to get groceries. When we got back I found Heather in a dress and relaxing. After lunch we headed over the bridge to the beach. Fortunately they have bike paths everywhere. The beach was gorgeous here. We hit it at low tide and the sand was made up of crushed seashells and there were rocks that were covered with a brilliant green algae. Oh the contrast in colour. The surf was pounding in and we could see a couple of surfers out taking advantage of the waves even though a sign clearly marked that there was Rip tides and rocks in the water. When we were heading back to the boat we saw a gentleman that comes down there everyday and he said you have to be there at the right time to catch it the way we saw it today. I am purposing to get the photo before we leave.
Stay tuned. Many thanks to Palm Coast Marina for waiving the bike rental fee.
