We woke up to some brisk winds and choppy waters. It was questionable if we could make it to shore but decided to go for it. We attended the Methodist church in St. Augustine and it felt good to get to a service after five weeks of not being able to. When we got back to the dinghy there was an increase in the speed of the wind and the water was getting choppy. We went back aboard and waited out a gale that had been predicted for around 12:00 p.m. On schedule one of the woman at the church mentioned there was a tornado watch so we decided to stay on boat for the day. We reduced the canvas and battened down. The wind although high the clouds were very dark and ominous.
