Karen and Abe and I walked to town today. We spent the whole day looking at shops and getting some groceries. It is about a two mile walk to town so we get picked up by kind boaters driving by that recognize us as boaters. We made dinner and curled up early to watch a movie in the v-berth as it is to cold to do anything else. Planning to head out tomorrow depending on the weather.
Thursday October 30, 2008.
We were not surprised when Abe and Karin called to cancel our journey today. The winds and waves were still high and the weather is very cold. We dinghy over to Abe and Karen's boat about 10:30 a.m. And when we were sitting in the cockpit we got a call from Diane and Tony on Vertigo that they were in the area and heading into Fisherman's Bay for the night. We tied them up and then Dick took the girls to the public dock in the dinghy to save about a one mile walk. We were scouting our bargains until about 3:00 pm when we ran into the guys coming back from the marine store. Abe and Dick went to get Grace C off the anchorage and we tied up at the YC for the night. After a time of planning our journey and sharing with other sailors we headed aboard to make dinner and catch up with the wifi.

Hopefully today is a move on day--its a beautiful day here. Corn harvest continues to go well. Spooks will be out tonight. Safe sailing
Shirley said - finshed up our stint at the soup kitchen to-day - not as many patron because their cheques had come in. This afternoon Ros and I are going to Tavistock to the funeral of the husband of one of our group. Not really a sad . Claire is cutting the grass for the last time - a beutiful day for the trick or treaters. Love ya
It's nice that you have a few of your group to go shopping and socialize with. Sorry that it's so cold, but hopefully the warm weather that we're having today in the mid 60's will make it down to you so you can head south again.
