We got up early and headed out on the highway toward Fort Myers. We called Bev and Alastair last night and they are home and wanted us to come for a sail. We have about a three hour road trip to get to their Condo. They are located at the Heritage Pointe in South Fort Myers. When we got here Alastair came out to greet us with a welcome. He had a big gouge on the side of his head and he told us he had taken the boat out with a couple of friends to clean the bottom so that Dick would not be concerned about it slowing the boat performance down. He was under the bow and a piece of metal that hold the nav. lights caught him in the top of the head.
We had a beautiful sunny day so we took off to the boat for our first sail as soon as we got here.
There is a channel you have to go out along by Fort Myers Beach and then when you get out of the last mark it is clear sailing. There are islands, lots of other boaters, beautiful waterfront property some friendly dolphins who come by the boat.
