After a very wet ride up the Hudson River we arrived at the Catskill and slid into our dock for the night. We have to get the mast ready for demasting. It was so good to see Mike and the rest of the team here at Riverview. Mike directed us to the wood pile and said take what you need, respecting that if there is a name and date on it do not take. Mike assures us he is not the wood police. Gotta love this guy. We worked all day in the pouring rain undoing the table, electrical, rigging, and building the cradle for it to rest on. Dick was thinking of taking the bimini and dodger down but the weather forcast is rain until Saturday so that was not going to work. He has managed to construct a worthy cradle and we will be up and demasted tomorrow morning when the tide is low enough to get the boat where he wants it. Another milestone is over.

Demasting ...eek!!! Can't believe this is happening.. Thanks for keeping us posted. You must be excited to be entering the final phase of THE TRIP.
The party is almost over but the dream will be with you always--Cheers. Dick you have done a great job in the Mr. Fixit department when things went wrong. You must have some old farmer blood in your veins!! We are all getting excited to have you safe back with us. We thank God for your safety. Love from your landlubber family.
I wonder about the mixed feelings you must be having. Glad to be close to being home, but then not wanting the year to end. Phil just left Nos o hop Marina yesterday morning at Catskills, NY. I wonder where Riverview is compared to where he was?
