Georgetown South Carolina - Layover Day

Dinghy to the wharf and check out the shops

Check out Grace C - anchor still holding back to check out some museums.
The clock tower reminded me of Back to the Future. This one is the Rice Museum.
Rice use to be a huge crop here when there were slaves to do the work.
Quiet afternoon, naping and resting from the walk into town. Dick spent afternoon trying to set up the Cam Recorder to talk to kids. Diane and Tony had us for a feast of Shrimp. Yummy
The plan tomorrow is to head to Charleston, providing we make it to a certain bridge by 4:00 p.m. It is closed from 4-6 for rush hour traffic and that makes it dark when we get in so we may have to anchor and head in in the morning.

Great pictures--Grace C looks peaceful in the still waters. Catch-up day today--dad has gone to Embro for some hooks he needs. Enjoy your stop-over and sail safe--maybe you will be to New Smyrna Beach ahead of us--We plan to leave Dec. 3. Love to you both. Sending Josh best wishes for his birthday

shirley said - Charelston is where Uncle Dick was in hospital when he haad his first stroke. It was in April so very hot and humid. It was a great slave trading city. You will be so pleased to spend time with Verne and Phyllis. Nothing much new here to-day love ya

It will make you feel great to know that it has been raining, wind howling, and snowing like a banchie and you're not in it. LOL Enjoy the warmth for all of us.

Very much wishing I could be with you guys in your travels through SC. You're about an hour and half drive from my sister, brother and their families in Columbia, SC.
