Pine Island and a girls day out!
We watched a documentary the night before about Pine Island and the art community called Matlacha.
Bev decided to take me there for a girls day out. The men went sailing and we drove to the community of Matlacha. Stopped at a restaurant to have a drink and go to the washroom. There were may folks there from Bayview Yacht club having a delicious meal and celebration. It is on a canal.
Pine Island had decided to resist development and stay the way it is. They have many nurseries on it that grow Palm now. Originally they grew Pines. Bev drove me out to St. James on the south shore of the island.
