These pictures were taken a few week ago. Notice the blue and red waterline. Well that is actually tape and it is covering up the beautiful blue, yellow, orange coordinating boot stripe. Why do people do this to their boats? Anyway as we type Dick is attempting with propane torch in hand to soften the glue so it will peel off. He has already after a few days of working at it picked 1/3 of if off with a razor blade. Last night he tried it with no luck. I think it was too cold on the first day of April to make any head way. Anyway it is now quarter to eight and the Mac and Cheeze is waiting on the counter for his return.
The next job is the gray stuff on the bottom has to go. That is old anti-fouling paint and a barrier coat has to be applied before he can paint the new anti-fouling paint on. Most of the old paint was sprayed off in the fall with a hi-pressure washer. The new paint is white and will be safe for salt water. :)
